What this pressure means on the machine

Pressure and temperature aren't two readings on a refrigeration circuit — they're one fact wearing two units. Inside the coils, refrigerant boils and condenses at a temperature fixed by its pressure, which is why a gauge can carry a temperature scale at all. This converter reads the same saturation tables the manufacturers publish: gauge pressure in, saturation temperature out, for every common refrigerant including the blends — where it also shows the glide, because a blend boils across a range, not at a point.

On its own that answers “what temperature is my suction pressure?”. Put the same reading next to a pipe temperature and it becomes superheat; next to a liquid-line temperature it becomes subcooling — and those two numbers are most of a diagnosis.
